China, Sao Tome and Principe resume diplomatic ties

Diplomatic relations between the People’s Republic of China and the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe were restored in Beijing on Dec 26.

Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with his counterpart Urbino Botelho from Sao Tome and Principe in the capital and, after the meeting, they signed a joint communiqué restoring diplomatic ties.
