President Xi Jinping received the credentials presented by six new ambassadors to China at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Friday, and he asked them to convey his greetings and good wishes to the leaders and people of their countries.
The ambassadors ¡ª from the Bahamas, Hungary, Poland, Iceland, Ecuador and Mozambique ¡ª conveyed congratulations on Xi¡¯s re-election as president and cordial greetings to him from the leaders of their respective countries.
Xi welcomed the ambassadors to China and said the Chinese government will provide convenience and support for their work.
It is hoped the envoys will give full play to their role as a bridge and proactively contribute to the friendship and relations between China and their countries, he said.
China highly values its friendly ties with the countries and will promote traditional friendship with them, enhance mutual political trust, deepen pragmatic cooperation and cultural exchanges, and boost collaboration on international affairs, the president said.
The ambassadors offered congratulations on the success of China¡¯s recently concluded annual two sessions in Beijing and spoke highly of the achievements the country has made through its reform, opening-up and development.
They said it is believed China will contribute more to the common development of the world when it has achieved its own development.
The ambassadors said their countries highly value relations with China and are honored to serve as envoys. They also said they will be committed to promoting friendly ties with China to boost mutually beneficial cooperation.
