On June 11, 2015, Paradetech, a high-speed transmission IC design house, announced that it would purchase Cypress’s touch business with cash of USD100 mln.

After transaction, Paradetech will tap into touch IC sector, and terminal products include smartphone, tablet PC, laptop, personal computer, display, wearable devices, GPS, digital camera, and other industrial application, while Cypress will continue to offer CapSense solutions. In addition, this acquisition will provide Paradetech with a springboard to mobile phone customers like Huawei, Samsung, Amazon, Xiaomi, Sony and Coolpad.
