Recently, Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical (Group) Co., Ltd. (“Fosun Pharma”, stock code: 600196) acquired Foshan Chancheng Central Hospital Company Ltd (Chancheng Hospital) at RMB693 million. Chancheng Hospital is a private upper first class hospital in Foshan, with registered capital of RMB594.92 million (as of Dec. 31, 2012) and annual revenue of 2012 hitting RMB497.01 million. This acquisition indicated the transformation of Fosun Pharma’s business target in hospital market from upscale market to mass market.
