Hunan Hansen Pharmaceutical acquired the majority worth $44.8 million of Yunnan Yongzitang Pharmaceutical stake to boost its competitive advantages in traditional Chinese Medicine Market.

Yongzitang, whose major product is rhizome gastrodiae capsules, owns seven national exclusive TCM patents, five of which have national IP. The company reported $1.6 million in profit during the first nine months of 2013.
