On May 28, 2015, NXP announced to sell its RF Power segment to JAC Capital at a price of USD1.8 billion.

According to agreement, the transaction included NXP RF Power’s all businesses, management teams and related patents, and JAC Capital would build wholly-owned subsidiary in Netherlands. NXP’s RF Power segment holds leading position in high-performance radio frequency power amplifier sector, mainly provides products to cellular base station market, and enjoys growth potential in industrial lighting, next-generation cooking, and automotive electronic ignition system. In addition, JAC Capital and NXP had signed an intention agreement about construction of joint venture in China in March, 2015.
