As a whole, revenue from the global market research industry¡¯s 25 biggest companies grew 4.1% to $18.7B in 2011, representing 58% of total world spend for research. The report puts ¡°real growth¡± at 1.4% (4.1% growth less a 2.7% adjustment for inflation). Despite the modest increase, Jack Honomichl calls the results ¡°good news given the dire economic conditions in many countries.¡± The growth in full-time employees increased 6.9% from the prior year.
