"Dialsmith" Forges New Business Trail, Testimony to its Success after being Groomed by Market Strategies

Market Strategies International, the full-service market research and consulting firm, has announced that it has spun-off its signature Perception Analyzer business, MSInteractive, which develops and markets the industry-leading Perception Analyzer system. The spin-off is effective immediately. The new company, named Dialsmith, will continue to be headquartered in Portland, Oregon.

The Perception Analyzer is an interactive technology for market research, corporate meetings, and judging and scoring, providing clients with data-driven insight, decision support, and audience engagement. The Perception Analyzer is the technology of choice for companies, universities and non-profit organizations in more than 35 countries.

David Paull, who has served in dual capacities at Market Strategies as head of corporate marketing and MSInteractive, is the owner and managing director of Dialsmith.

"MSInteractive is a mature service and software business to the market research industry, academic institutions, and the event management and meeting facilitation industry," said Dr. Andrew Morrison, chairman and CEO of Market Strategies International. "As its business has grown and broadened, it has a need to be differentiated from the Market Strategies custom research and consulting practice."

Morrison added that Paull and his team now have the opportunity to seek outside partnerships with other communications and marketing firms as an independent company. Market Strategies International will continue to be a financial partner with Dialsmith and strong supporter for the foreseeable future.

Dialsmith will continue MSInteractive's history of serving the market research industry and will also branch out into new markets. Through its Perception Analyzer technology, Dialsmith will focus on products and services for focus groups, mock trials, corporate meetings and events, and academic research. It will also continue to develop its ISX ¡ª Instant Scoring eXperience™ ¡ª brand for real-time judging and scoring.

"As an independent company, we'll continue to grow and support our core business and be more agile to respond to customers in sports, entertainment, and corporate meetings and events," said Paull. "These business areas are not core to Market Strategies International, but are very important to us. Obviously without the support and grooming of Market Strategies over the years, this independent venture would not have been possible."
